Talksport and the Dildos are a perfect combination.

I love how our net spend is roughly about 25 million and the reduction in our wage bill is / was roughly 25 million

Fucking Sullivan should be the next david blaine with all his smoke and mirrors

2 losses in the next 2 games would see a sea change in opinion.

It’s all about timing :-)

They cannot and will not compete financially with the top 6 hence we will remain outside. The investment strategy is improving so at least the money we do spend should go further but a few injuries could see us flirting again with relegation so the squad is still not strong enough.

Sullivan will claim it is. Why? Because he truly believes it due to a poor layman’s understanding of the game or to suit his appetite to spend ? Probably both :-(

I feel much the same as Gavros.

Im not over the moon about the the situation with Hernandez. From a financial point of view it was good, but Iam a bit concerned that we're light up front in terms of depth.

They we're also too slow in their player investment, but that's been and gone, now.

These next few tranfer windows will really tell. Most of the deadwood is gone, so now we should expect more Anderson/Diop, Fornal & Haller type signings.

Hopefully, too, we'll add a few more Declan Rice's to the team through the youth set up.

Im 50/50 with the board. Sometimes that goes 60/40 in favour and sometimes 60/40 against.

Time will tell.

Apologies,

I somehow managed to confuse Ironskej name with Gavros's.

Your guess is as good as mine as to how that happened!

They are getting the club's finances in order so they can sell at a huge profit on sod all personal investment. I hope shortly after they do fuck off out of the club they drop dead. Utter shitcuts the pair of them.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
They'll supply a good team but the squad will never back that up and it'll be the reason why our better players will always leave. We will always just fall short barring a season of very few injuries (in other words a miracle).

Would have been well pleased with that had we stayed at our stadium that portrays that outcome.Instead we now look like we are desperate for the big time but not quite up to it.

Only our fanbase numbers keeps us from being a joke.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
some people are just plain stupid:

Pros:
- They are British, which feels quite unique in the Prem. David Gold is actually a Hammers fan and you can tell he cares.
***Gold has told some of the biggest whoppers out of the 3 of them. He cares about money***

- They technically saved us financially in a way, we were in a lot of trouble and we could of so easily become a Leeds, Villa, Portsmouth, Wednesday or Newcastle.
**no they didnt**

- They put their money where their mouth is after the end of the 2017 season, shortly after the ugly scenes after the Burnley 3-0 loss.
***no they didnt. they just spent what they saved the year before***

Cons:
- Dildos.
- Karen Brady not on the same wave length at all with our fans.
- Obviously the stadium has so many issues, although I'm warming to it, will be better next season with the seats moving forward behind the goal.
***the seats arent moving anywhere. more lies***

- Sullivan's son is a melt.
- Took them far to long to sign a striker who wasn't a far off punt.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
Yes, I really like the credit they tried to take for saving us from administration > points deduction > relegation.

To then take us down anyway the very next season wasn't it?

I will also NEVER forgive Sully's shares in the premium rate phone line to buy match tickets, confirmed to me he's Cardiff all the way.......

....how there is any time for them from these two points alone is disgusting on our supporters part tbh.

"That';s you banned from Hammers United

"you can only join that if you have the same opinion as everyone else"

Why would you say that? It's not funny, so can't be a joke. It has to be seen as suspect. Why the snidey lies?

All sorts are welcome to join Hammers United.

Either you haven't been paying attention, or that was an attempt at sabotage.

It's vital that everyone is dissatisfied with stuff, or pretends to be, or is at the very least unhappy on someone else's behalf. It's the modern way.

Theyre lying cunts - but then again, so are most businessman. There are no 'decent' football club owners - even the one's that spend.

Im giving them some grace for this summer, but only just - but that's because they bought a couple of quality players - im fully aware of the fact that a couple more injuries could turn things pear shaped.

They should look to buy in Jan ( if anything reasonable comes up) .

If not Jan, then I fully expect us to spend as much as Pellegrini's first transfer window.

Im of the frame of mind to give them a little a bit more time.

I'm happy for people to hate them and keep on their case to make them spend money.

But rather than having a dig at people on here for having a bit more patience and optimism, organise events to demonstrate against the board, before and after matches - or in extreme cases, during the games - i think we're a little way of the latter, though.

Like any establishment, (particularly a British one) the powers that be are more than happy for the people (in this case, us fans) to argue amongst themselves, whilst they carry on doing what they do.

Let's not fall into that trap, eh.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
All the other stuff aside - not really going to chance people's opinions on that, it is has been the same for years - the spending going forward is interesting one.

Unless we are in Europe, what do you think spending another 100 million will do?

We need to keep our good players and actually build a team, not replace half of it every year or even two.

We spent a lot on a lot people for the time, Carroll, Hernandez, Arnautovic etc. They have been to various degrees disappointing for that outlay. But those are the type of big money player we may well be looking at if we spend 100 million for the sake of it.

We have spent better and for a better age generally and that should let them become a team.

But the truly excellent players have to want to come here and stay here for them to be worth huge money, going forward. Not sure the prospect of us next summer will be that yet.

And I don't begrudge people making money off me, that is what makes the imperfect world go round. So if the owners sell (and make a profit) to a stable and classier or at least silent set of owners, why would that upset me?

IOC,

Im guessing the 100 million comment was aimed at me - apologies if it wasn't.

There is always room for improvement, always.

And spending a 100 million ( wisely, of course) goes a long way towards improvement.

Surely, everyone agrees with that?

But I think we all can agree mistakes were made in the past. The site could continue arguing about the severity or specificity of them but aside from not repeating them, the usefulness of that becomes next to nil for me, other than generation traffic.

I am more concerned about how, in the situation we are in right now, we move forward realistically. It is sports so you can't account for everything but you can certainly give yourself a better chance to succeed.

What do you see having to do for that to happen?

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
It took massive riots, pitch invasions and being coined to actually appoint a decent manager and spend some money after years of shit spending.

They’re trying to go back to their cheapskate cunt ways again with a low net spend this summer.

If (when) we have our next injury crisis; they’ll be getting a shit load of abuse again when soppy cunts wake-up and realise we have no squad cover because they fucking sold half of them off.

I can’t wait for them to fuck off. The sooner the better.
